NVIDIA has made available a new GeForce Graphics package, namely version 460.79, which is the Game Ready driver that delivers an improved gaming experience when playing Cyberpunk 2077, and also includes support for the official launch of Minecraft with RTX for Windows 10.

In addition to that, the current release adds Background Application Max Frame Rate control and Color Accuracy Mode features, removes the black strip seen in Forza Motorsport 7 during a race, and make sure the system doesn’t locks up when launching a game with G-SYNC enabled in SLI surround.

Moreover, the 460.79 update fixes NvAPI_GPU_GetGPUInfo() that returned an incorrect number of GPU Tensor Cores (GeForce RTX 3-series), correct the color format behavior that switched from RGB to ycbcr422 when setting refresh rate higher than 100Hz, and implements other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to installation, first save the appropriate package for your configuration (either desktop or notebook running one of Microsoft’s 64-bit variants of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 platforms), and close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade.

Afterward, run the downloaded executable, wait as the wizard extracts all files required for the update, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful installation.

That said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 460.79, apply it on your device, perform a reboot once finished, and enjoy your newly-improved system. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
