Today, Creative has announced the availability of a new firmware package compatible with its Sound Blaster E5 USB DAC and headphone amp, namely version 151105, which, above all, fixes connectivity issues with iOS 9 devices.

In addition to that, the present release also implements support for What-U-Hear recording feature available along with an external microphone and adds various bug fixes and improvements.

Regarding installation, first make sure to download the appropriate package for your system configuration.

Specifically speaking, Creative has provided two files: one executable targeted at Mac OS X 10.6.8 and above platforms, and one compatible with Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 platforms, both 32- and 64-bit architectures.

After going past this aspect, ensure that the Sound Blaster E5 is properly connected to your computer, run the downloaded file (extract it if required), and follow all instructions displayed on-screen.

However, bear in mind that turning off the computer, disconnecting the amplifier, or interrupting the upgrade process in any way can lead to serious malfunctions.

Last but not least, once the installation has finished, make sure to carry out a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.

With this in mind, download Creative Sound Blaster E5 Firmware 151105, carefully apply it to your configuration, and enjoy the new improvements. Also, check our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
