The update is only suitable for Windows 10 platforms

Conexant has rolled out a new version of its HD Audio and SmartAudio HD drivers, namely 8.66.43.50, which is only compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 10 platforms, both 32- and 64-bit architectures.

However, take into account that the available files are provided in .cad formats that require a different installation method; still, the procedure isn’t that hard.

Specifically speaking, after downloading the appropriate package for your system configurations, you must extract the file to an accessible location (such as a folder on the desktop), and go to Device Manager.

Now, right click on the hardware you want to upgrade, choose Update Driver Software > Select the location of the new driver manually, navigate to the folder you have previously extracted, and follow all instructions displayed.

If you have a previous version of Conexant’s driver, then got to “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer” > “Have Disk,” and navigate to the same folder as described above.

Last but not least, once finished, it would be a good idea to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.

That said, download Conexant HD Audio Driver 8.66.43.50, take into account all steps highlighted above, and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
