The release fixes an issue regarding aperture adjustment

Canon has made available a new firmware package compatible with its EOS C100 Mark II digital camcorder, namely version 1.0.3.1.00, which resolves an issue where the aperture adjustment didn’t work as expected when using the control dial on the grip unit.

However, the phenomenon mentioned above only occurs when the camcorder is used along with certain EF lenses, as well as when running the producer’s 1.0.2.1.00 firmware version. The complete list of affected lenses is highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of installation, save and unzip the downloadable archive, transfer the firmware file onto a formatted memory card (must be initialized by the camcorder body), insert the SD card into the device, and slide the Power switch to CAMERA.

Now, go to Menu > System Setup > Firmware > Camera, select “Ok” when the firmware update confirmation screen is displayed to initiate the installation and wait patiently for the device to do its job.

Bear in mind that, during the firmware update, removing the device’s battery/SD card, making use of the unit’s buttons, or interrupting the process in any way isn’t recommended. Doing so will cause the camcorder to malfunction.

Once completed, the unit will restart automatically, and an appropriate message will be displayed; simply select “Ok,” set the date/time, and you’re done.

That said, download Canon EOS C100 Mark II Camera Firmware 1.0.3.1.00, apply it to your imaging unit to remove the bug mentioned above, and check back with us as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
