Canon has rolled out a new firmware package targeted at its VB-S905F, VB-S805D, VB-S30D, VB-S31D, VB-S800D, and VB-S900F network cameras, namely version 1.3.0, which includes support for SNMPv3, multicast DNS, Russian and Turkish languages, and more.

This fresh update also adds support for Haze Compensation and Viewer PTZ functions, displays Log Notifications, improves Smart Shade Control Auto Mode quality, reduces playback delay in H.264 mode, and allows owners to set FTP server to “Disable.”

In addition to that, version 1.3.0 implements support for TLS1.1 and TLS1.2 (SSL3.0 will no longer be available), and Group 5 and 14 in DH Group within IPsec option, and allows setting “Encrypted Communications” to HTTP, HTTP and HTTPS, or HTTPS only.

Moreover, recording in low light conditions will benefit from a decreased data size, connectability with ONVIF has been improved, and several other changes will be implemented along with the present firmware.

In terms of installation, since the complexity is above average, it would be a good idea to save and run the appropriate file for your camera model, and carefully review the readme file provided within the newly-created folder.
