The new update fixes an issue that caused improper behavior

Buffalo has made available a new firmware package compatible with its WMR-300 travel router, namely version 1.90, which fixes an issue that caused the AirStation to behave improperly when certain texts were entered into some Settings pages.

Therefore, if this problem has bothered your until now, it’s time to fix it. To do so, first of all make sure your router’s currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present version.

If all is OK, save and unzip the downloadable archive, establish a wired connection between your router and a computer (wireless technology tends to disconnect randomly), and ensure that both devices are on the same network subnet.

Afterwards, log into Buffalo’s wireless unit administration page using the appropriate username and password, go to “Update AirStation Firmware” section, check the “Specify Local File” radio button, and hit “Browse.”

Now, simply navigate and select the newly-extracted firmware file, click “Apply,” and wait patiently for the router to do its job. Bear in mind that interrupting this process in any way can lead to various malfunctions or even render the device unusable.

Once the upgrade is initiated, the new firmware is sent to the WMR-300 unit, and after the transfer is complete, the installation process will start automatically. You should also know that the router’s LED will blink red while upgrading and green when the new firmware has successfully been applied.

Considering all above-described aspects, download Buffalo WMR-300 Router Firmware 1.90, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to be aware when a newer version is available for your travel router.
