The new update resolves an issue regarding multiple ISPs

Buffalo has outed a new firmware package targeted at its WHR-600D and WHR-300HP2 router models, namely version 1.90, which fixes an issue where the AirStation didn’t work properly when certain text was entered into some Settings pages.

In addition to that, this update also removes the bug that prevented settings from being remotely accessed after changing the login password. However, this problem was only encountered when several ISPs were registered.

As for installing this release, first of all make sure your router’s current firmware version isn’t either newer or matching the present one, and only afterwards save and extract the proper downloadable archive for your device model.

If all is ok, ensure both the computer and the router are on the same network subnet, log into the AirStation’s web interface, and go to “Update AirStation Firmware.”

From there, click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly-extracted firmware file, hit “Apply,” and wait patiently as the router automatically applies the new update. Also, take into account that the power LED blinks red through the installation (for about 6 minutes).

Last but not least, make sure you don’t turn off the device, remove the Ethernet/power cable, or interrupt this process in any way. The installation is completed when the LED either blinks green or turns off.

That being said, download Buffalo WHR-600D Router Firmware 1.90 or download Buffalo WHR-300HP2 Router Firmware 1.90, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and update your AirStation device.
