BlackMagic has announced the availability of a new firmware update utility targeted at all of its cameras, namely version 4.3, which implements support for the producer’s latest additions: URSA Mini Pro 4.6K, Studio Camera 2, and Studio Camera 4K 2 units.

In addition to that, the current update adds several new features for the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K device, such as support for ND filter wheel, interchangeable mount, dedicated HFR button, external power switch, and front/rear panel lock switches.

Moreover, the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K also gets a new timecode clock, external auto white balance button, high visibility status display, external audio gain controls, fully assignable audio record channels, and several other features highlighted in the Release Notes below.

As for compatibility, the producer has provided two downloadable packages: one suitable for Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, 10.12 Sierra, and later platforms, and one supporting the 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 8 and 10 operating systems.

Therefore, in order to install this release, first of all, run “Uninstall Camera Utility,” download and extract the appropriate archive for your computer’s OS, navigate and run the available setup file, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete upgrade.

That said, download BlackMagic Camera Firmware Update Utility 4.3, apply it on your system, and upgrade your camera to benefit from these new improvements.
