The new firmware enhances samba and 2.4Ghz stability

ASUS has made available its 380.1354 firmware package targeted at the RT-AC3100 and RT-AC88U wireless routers, which improves samba and 2.4Ghz stability, fixes the smart connect phy rate scale issue, and resolves some UI bugs.

Considering this, if you want to make use of these changes, first of all, make sure your router’s currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present release.

If all is ok, save and unzip the downloadable package, establish a wired connection between the router and a computer, and log into its administration page. You can also upgrade your device via wireless, but if this connection is interrupted for any reason, the update can fail and this can lead to various malfunctions.

That said, go to the Firmware Upgrade section, hit “Browse,” navigate and select the newly extracted firmware file, click “Upload,” and wait as the router applies the new firmware.

Bear in mind that, during the installation, you mustn’t remove the Ethernet/power cable from either device, turn off/reboot the router or the computer, or interrupt this process in any way. Doing so can lead to serious malfunctions.

With this in mind, download ASUS RT-AC88U Firmware 380.1354 or download ASUS RT-AC3100 Firmware 380.1354, apply it to your wireless unit, and enjoy the changes brought by this new  update. Also, constantly check our website to be up to speed with the latest releases.
