ASUS has rolled out two new firmware packages targeted at some of its wireless routers, namely versions 378.9459 and 378.9460, which resolve the UI issues when connecting with a smartphone browser.

In addition to that, these new updates fix the PPPoE multicast bugs, time scheduling warning page issues, as well as Bandwidth limiter related problems.

Last but not least, ASUS’ firmware also resolves the OpenVPN server configuration file exporting bugs, removes the unnecessary messages in system log (when tunneling is enabled), and changes the Bandwidth limiter strings in Czech.

When it comes to compatibility, the producer has provided version 378.9459 for its RT-N66 (W, U, R), RT-AC56 (U, R, S), RT-AC3200, and RT-AC66 (W, R) wireless models, and firmware 378.9460 for the RT-AC87R and RT-AC87U routers.

As far as installation goes, simply save and unzip the appropriate package for your specific router model, log into its administration page, and click on the currently installed firmware. Also, make sure it isn’t newer or matching the current release.

Afterwards, establish a wired connection between your router and the computer, click on the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly-extracted file, and wait for the device to do its job.

That said, download ASUS RT-AC87 Router Firmware 378.9460 or download ASUS RT Router Firmware 378.9459, take into account all aspects as mentioned earlier, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
