ASUS has made available new firmware packages developed for its RT-AC88U, RT-AC3100, and RT-AC3200 wireless routers, namely version 3.0.0.4.380.4180, which manages to improve Chrome, Edge, and IE compatibility, as well as fix several issues.

Specifically speaking, build 380.4180 resolves problems encountered with quick internet setting wizard, NAT, UPnP media server, AiCloud, and Dual-WAN (in PPPoE, PPTP, or L2TP + DHCP environments), and updates OpenSSL library (1.0.2j) and Dropbear SSH (2016.74) to improve security.

In addition to that, ASUS enhances XSS and CSRF security vulnerability strength, adds protection for possible Brute-force attacks, fixes AP mode interoperability issues, updates NAT Acceleration setting, and includes several other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to installation, simply save and extract the downloadable archive specifically designed for your device model, and establish a wired connection between the router and your computer.

Afterward, log into the unit’s administration page, and use the newly-extracted .trx file to update your wireless device. Even though this seems easy, make sure not to interrupt the process in any way as this might lead to various problems.

With this in mind, download the appropriate package for your router from the links below, apply it on your wireless unit, and constantly check our website to find out when a newer version is available.
