ASUS has provided new firmware packages targeted at several of its DSL router models, namely version 1.1.0.4, which resolves possible IE compatibility problems, fixes a few Wi-Fi-related issues, and improves the Feedback feature.

In addition to that, the present release fixes some issues with Guest Network, QIS (Quick Internet Setup), Traffic Monitor, and NAT Passthrough features, reduces Wi-Fi driver debug messages, and resolves a few UI-related bugs.

Moreover, the producer managed to implement the DDNS retry mechanism, improve PPPoE and PPPoA compatibility, as well as add various other changes highlighted on the description page of each firmware download.

When it comes to compatible devices, this release is developed for DSL-N12U (Ver.C1), DSL-N12E (Ver.C1), DSL-N10 (Ver.C1), DSL-N55U (VER.C1), DSL-N16U, DSL-N14U, DSL-N17U, and DSL-N66U router models.

As for installation, first of all, check your router’s current firmware so that it isn’t newer or matching the present version, and if everything is OK, save and unzip the downloadable archive.

Now, establish a wired connection between the DSL unit and your computer, log into its administration page, and use the newly extracted .trx file to upgrade the router to the latest firmware version.

Even though this seems easy, bear in mind that interrupting the upgrade process by removing the Ethernet/power cable from either device, closing the web browser, or in any other way will lead to an update failure that might cause various device malfunctions.

That said, download ASUS DSL Router Firmware 1.1.0.4 for your specific model, take into account all the aspects as mentioned above, apply the package, and enjoy the changes brought by this new release.
