Today, ASUS has made available a new firmware package compatible with its DSL-N17U router, namely version 1.1.2.2.34, which manages to resolve the issue involving wrong INP values in certain cases and improves the Fine Tune SSH feature.

In addition to that, the present update also installs DSL driver version 5.5.2.4, as well as SSH Dropbear version 2016.74, and also adds VDSL Stability Adjustment options 2dB and 3dB.

When it comes to installation, first of all, make sure your router’s currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching this release, and only afterward save and extract the downloadable archive.

If all is ok, establish a wired connection between the DSL-N17U unit and computer (username and password should be required), log into the router’s administration page, go to the Firmware Upgrade section, hit “Browse,” navigate and select the newly extracted firmware file, and click “Upload.”

Even though this seems easy, make sure that you don’t disconnect the power or Ethernet cable, or close the web browser, as this will cause an update failure which might lead to various problems.

With this in mind, download ASUS DSL-N17U Router Firmware 1.1.2.2.34, apply it to your wireless unit, and enjoy the changes brought by this new update. Also, constantly check our website to be up to speed with the latest releases.
