Today, AMD rolled out its new 17.4.2 Non-WHQL Radeon Crimson ReLive Edition driver that sets the tone for Windows 10 Creators Update features, besides all gaming improvements and engaging VR experiences.

Moreover, the producer manages to fix some SteamVR Asynchronous Reprojection problems, correct the Battlefield 1 poor scaling when in Multi-GPU mode using DirectX 11 API, and remove unnecessary Windows Security pop-ups on certain Hybrid Graphics configurations.

In addition to that, the present update will also make sure app profiles in Radeon Settings retain configurations after logoff or reboot, and Radeon ReLive won’t experience flickering when recording with an extended display.

When it comes to compatibility, the 17.4.2 release consists of 5 downloadable packages targeted at Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. However, bear in mind that the 32-bit architecture of Windows 8.1 is no longer supported.

Therefore, save the appropriate package for your configuration, remove any previous version of Radeon Crimson from your computer, run the 17.4.2 package, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, once finished, don’t forget to perform a reboot (either manually or automatically) to allow all changes to take effect properly.
