This release resolves app crashes and driver timeout events

AMD has rolled out a new version of its Adrenalin graphics drivers, namely version 23.1.1 (22.40.00.62), which fixes the minor performance degradation observed after applying a factory reset of settings and resolves certain driver timeout and app crash events.

Specifically speaking, the current release makes sure users can apply Auto Overclock performance tuning settings without any issues, as well as play Valheim (using Vulkan API) and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (with Ray Tracing enabled) with no interruptions.

Still, don’t forget that Radeon 23.1.1 can experience lower-than-expected performance with some virtual reality games and apps, stutter in UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End, and consume more power when a high refresh rate display is idle.

In terms of compatibility, besides the supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 10 or 11 operating system. Do not try installing the package on other platforms as this might lead to various malfunctions.

Therefore, save and run the package on your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade. Also, it would be a good idea to perform a reboot once finished to ensure all changes take effect properly.
