AMD has just announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Crimson Edition graphics driver, namely the 16.8.3 hotfix update, which promises to resolve the random blank or colored screen experienced intermittently on certain Radeon RX 400 series products.

In addition to that, the present release will also add new AMD CrossFire DirectX 11 profiles for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Battlefield 1 Beta titles, as well as implement other small performance and stability improvements.

When it comes to compatibility, there are several downloadable executables suitable for Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit variants. Do not apply them on other OSes as this can lead to various malfunctions.

Moreover, before proceeding with the installation, make sure to remove any Crimson graphics driver already running on your computer, and afterwards apply the present 16.8.3 release. Doing so will ensure no problems are encountered.

Last but not least, you should also know that AMD has updated its Chipset drivers and RAIDXpert utility to version 16.8.3 as well, which are compatible with the same Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 platforms.

That said, download AMD Radeon Crimson Graphics Driver 16.8.3 Hotfix, apply it on your computer, perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect, and check back with us as often as possible to be aware when a newer version is available.
