AMD has made available new versions of its Radeon Crimson Edition and FirePro Liquid VR drivers, namely 16.5.2 Hotfix and Beta, respectively, which are compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 platforms, both bit architectures.

When it comes to changes, while the FirePro Liquid VR release doesn’t benefit from any relevant information, the new Crimson Hotfix updates Crossfire Profile for Hitman in DirectX11 and adds support for Oculus Rift SDK v1.3, HTC Vive, AMD Radeon Pro Duo.

In addition to that, the present Crimson version also fixes CS: GO stretch feature on non-native display aspect ratios and removes the bug that might have caused corruption for AMD’s Radeon Fury Series when the system was idle for a long period.

Moreover, AMD managed to fix possible FFXIV black screens, or application hang events, XCOM2’s minor stutters while the camera is panning around a scene, as well as its Radeon Settings check feature.

As for installation, first of all, make sure your computer configuration is supported by one of these releases, save the appropriate file for your bit architecture, and remove any previous version present on your system.

Afterwards, run the saved executable, and follow all instructions for a complete upgrade. Also, make sure to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.
