AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely the 20.7.1 (21.20.17.01) package, which improves performance by up to 6% when playing F1 2021 @ 4K Ultra High settings and up to 26% @ 1080p Ultra High settings.

In addition to that, the current release implements support for Radeon RX 6600M and RX 6700M GPUs, makes sure there is no Oculus service error received on Radeon RX 5000 & 6000 cards, and resolves the lighting corruption seen in Apex Legends when Radeon Boost is enabled.

Besides these changes, AMD’s update ensures 3DMark Time Spy and User Experience Program won’t use up an elevated amount of memory, corrects Carrion image corruption when Anisotropic Filtering is enabled, and fixes other problems as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

However, AMD’s update might still experience a few problems with the Game Compatibility advisor, Enhanced Sync, Resident Evil Village title, certain AMD Athlon mobile systems, as well as other minor issues also described below.

In terms of compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. Do not try installing the package on other platforms as this might lead to various malfunctions.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the package on your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 20.7.1, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
