The update fixes Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm issues

AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition Graphics driver, namely the 20.4.1 (19.50.29.20) package, which implements support for the new Resident Evil 3 title.

In addition to that, the current release also removes a bug that leads to hangs or a black screen when playing Overwatch or Heroes of the Storm games, and makes sure Doom Eternal launches correctly on every system configuration.

Moreover, AMD’s team managed to resolve certain HDR issues, ensure Radeon ReLive streaming works properly when used with performance metrics overlay enabled, and correct other problems as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

However, bear in mind that the present update might still encounter some issues with Enhanced Sync, Performance Metrics Overlay, Radeon WattMan, HDMI Scaling slider, and Radeon RX Vega series graphics products.

Regarding compatibility, there are two downloadable files suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 OSes (only 64-bit architectures), as well as a Minimal Setup Utility targeted at the same platforms.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 20.4.1, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
