AMD has announced the availability of its new 17.7.2 WHQLed Radeon Crimson ReLive Edition driver that promises to improve Radeon Settings, ReLive, Chill, Sync, WattMan, and more.

Specifically speaking, the present release adds support for bitrates up to 100Mbps for recording or capturing, new controls for camera transparency, and new notifications for Instant Replay Saving, optimizes memory usage for lower overhead, and enhances audio controls.

Moreover, Radeon Chill is now compatible with DirectX 12 and Vulkan, Multi-GPU, Hybrid Graphics, and Radeon XConnect Technology configurations, while Radeon WattMan supports memory underclocking and power state controls.

In addition to that, version 17.7.2 WHQL makes sure Mass Effect: Andromeda won’t experience any incorrect colors, allows Frame Rate Target Control to work with DirectX 12 and Multi-GPU systems, and fixes corruption, recording, streaming issues seen in Radeon ReLive.

Besides the improvements mentioned above, AMD’s update also includes several other changes and fixes, but some known issues as well. All the details can be viewed in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to installation, the producer has provided only four packages compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7 and 10 platforms. It seems like Windows 8.1 systems are on the verge of being excluded from the supported list.
