The update includes quality and performance optimizations

AMD has rolled out a new Catalyst graphics package for its users, namely version 15.11.1 beta, which provides quality and performance optimizations for titles such as Star Wars: Battlefront, Fallout 4, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Regarding compatibility, the 15.201.1151.1010 Catalyst display driver version is suitable for both 32- and 64-bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems.

However, since it’s a beta release, the present update still encounters a few known issues with Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Star Wars: Battlefront games. Unfortunately, you can't play these titles in fullscreen on some notebooks that have an Intel processor and an AMD graphics device.

In addition to that, Far Cry 4 might hang during launch on some AMD Radeon 200 and 300 series products under Windows 7 and 8.1 platforms, and you could have a poor SuperCruise performance when playing Elite: Dangerous. Also, Call of Duty: Black Ops III can experience flickering when running the game in DirectX 11 mode with Crossfire enabled.

Last but not least, when using a Radeon HD 5000 series card connected to a monitor via HDMI, the screen could remain black on Windows 10 booting sequence. Hopefully, all these problems will be fixed in the next Catalyst release.

Until then, download AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver 15.11.1 Beta, run it, and follow all instructions displayed for a complete and successful installation. Also, constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
