AMD has announced the availability of a new version for the FirePro and Radeon Pro Enterprise Graphics driver, namely the 18.Q4 (18.30.20) WHQL packages, which removes Blender viewport corruptions, fixes AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100 clock speeds, and more.

This update makes sure “19.Light.vpb” file doesn’t show issues when rendering with Autodesk VRED, resolves Solid Color Outputting issue (when using Specific DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 Dongle), and improves stability for AMD FirePro 7150, FirePro W8100, and FirePro W9100 graphics cards.

In addition to that, AMD’s new driver won’t experience problems with “sliced geometry” feature in Notch or when toggling between full screen and windowed mode on Citrix XenDesktop, and includes several fixes as highlighted in the Release Notes below get resolved.

Regarding compatibility, the producer has provided four executables suitable for each 32- and 64-bit architectures of Windows 7 and 10 platforms, as well as two additional files for Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2016 (both 64-bit).

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD FirePro/Radeon Pro Enterprise Graphics Driver 18.Q4, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
