AMD has announced the availability of a new Radeon Pro and AMD FirePro graphics driver, namely version 16.Q4.1, which includes support for the producer’s LiquidVR technology that enables professional VR workflows on compatible cards.

The current update is to be used with various workstation VR applications, such VR Design, Engineering Animation, and Modeling.

In addition to that, version 16.Q4.1 is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems (including Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Device Guard), which allows users to lock down trusted apps for an increased malware protection.

With this in mind, if you intend to upgrade to this version, it is recommended that you remove any previous version already present on your computer and perform a reboot. Afterward, save and extract the downloadable archive, and run the available setup file.

Now, simply follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful upgrade. However, do not interrupt the process in any way, as this can lead to various malfunctions.

Last but not least, once the installation has finished, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.

That said, download AMD FirePro Unified Driver 16.Q4.1, apply it on your computer, make sure to restart your computer upon completion, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
