AMD has made available a new Catalyst graphics driver targeted at Embedded GPU models, namely version 16.15.2001, which adds support for its R-Series SOC (FP4), and maintains compatibility with previous components.

Specifically speaking, before the aforementioned SOC, the present release is suitable for G-Series SOC (FP4, FT3b, and FT3), R-Series APU (FP3), as well as E8860, E8870, and E8950 embedded GPU models.

Regardless of which component is included within your configuration, bear in mind that it must be running under Microsoft’s Windows 7 platform (either bit variant) or Windows 10 64-bit OS. Even though other platforms might be compatible, it isn’t recommended that you try installing the driver on OSes other than the ones mentioned above.

When it comes to installation, first make sure your system is supported by AMD’s new driver, save the downloadable archive, and unzip it in order to extract all files required for the upgrade. Afterwards, locate and run the “Setup.exe” file, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, once finished, make sure you perform a reboot in order to allow all changes to take effect. You can do that by either manually restarting your computer or giving permission to the wizard so that it can do that for you.

That told, download AMD Embedded GPU and APU Driver 16.15.2001, apply it on your computer, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
