The update provides Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition support

AMD released a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition graphics driver, namely version 21.5.1 Optional, which includes support for Metro Exodus PC Enhanced Edition title and improves gaming performance by up to 13% in Resident Evil Village @ 4K MAX settings.

If applied, the current update promises to resolve texture flickering seen in Disco Elysium, fixes Moonlight Blade crashes (if opening the game with ray tracing is enabled), and makes sure Rainbow Six Siege recordings and media files are detected and tagged correctly.

In addition to that, this release corrects the reported temperatures on Ryzen 5 1600 series processors, the lower than expected performance in some Payday 2 missions, as well as the green corruptions observed in some video previews.

However, AMD’s new 21.5.1 package might carry certain issues regarding Resident Evil Village, Cyberpunk 2077, DOTA 2, Ryzen Master, Enhanced Sync, and other small bugs highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to installation, remember that there are two downloadable files compatible with the 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 (version 21.10.03.01) and Windows 10 (version 21.09.03.01) platforms, as well as one “Auto-Detect and Install” utility that detects your configuration and guides you forward.

Last but not least, take into account that installing the packages on platforms other than the ones mentioned above (shouldn’t work and) might lead to malfunctions and other problems. Also, after a proper installation, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.

That said, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 21.5.1 Optional, take into account all aspects as mentioned above, and check back with our website as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
