AMD has announced the availability of its new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition Graphics driver, namely the 20.9.2 (20.20.31.01) package, which includes support for the STAR WARS: Squadrons title and implements a large number of fixes.

Specifically speaking, the current release resolves issues seen on Radeon RX 5000 series configurations, makes sure users don’t experience problems when playing DOOM VFR, X-Plane 11, Call of Duty: WWII, Detroit: Become Human, and adds other changes as described in the Release Notes below.

Besides this, the producer’s 20.9.2 update also adds support for new Vulkan extensions, namely VK_KHR_buffer_device_address, VK_EXT_robustness2, and VK_EXT_shader_image_atomic_int64 commands.

However, AMD’s update might still experience a few problems with Enhanced Sync, Performance Metrics Overlay, Performance Tuning tab, Audio Video Receiver, and certain Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products.

In terms of compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems. There are two files available, one for each platform.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin 2020 Edition Graphics Driver 20.9.2, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
