The new release implements DirectX 12 quality and performance optimizations for Ashes of the Singularity

AMD has announced the availability of its new 15.10 Beta Catalyst Graphics driver, which adds various DirectX 12 quality and performance improvements for Ashes of the Singularity, and removes the bug that caused MPEG2 video playback to fail.

In addition to that, this new release fixes the TDR error/crash encountered when running the Unreal Engine 4 DirectX benchmark or toggling between minimized and maximized mode while watching 4K video content on YouTube.

If this version is applied, Star Wars: Battlefront will be able to use high performance graphics when played on mobile devices with switchable graphics, and Ashes of the Singularity won’t experience any "Driver has stopped responding" error message when in DirectX 12 mode.

Last but not least, AMD’s developers have also managed to resolve the intermittent Cyberlink PowerDVD playback issues spotted when connecting a 3D display with an HDMI cable, as well as the possible driver installation freeze event on some configurations.

However, take into account that the present build still encounters a few known issues, as highlighted in the Release Notes below, such as occasional GTA V crashes on Radeon R9 390X GPUs, and more.

When it comes to compatibility, Catalyst 15.10 beta is suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations that are powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems (either bit architecture).

Considering all these aspects, if you intend to upgrade, download AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver 15.10 Beta, apply it on your system, and perform a reboot upon completion. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
