As of now, AMD gamers can download a new Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics package targeted at several GPU models, namely version 18.8.1, which implements support for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, We Happy Few, and Madden NFL 19 titles.

According to AMD, the current release improves performance by up to 5% when using a Radeon RX Vega 64 8GB card to play Monster Hunter: World (also, by up to 6% if a Radeon RX 580 8GB GPU is used).

Moreover, the 18.8.1 build resolves Fortnite crashes in Windows 7, improves multi GPU compatibility with certain games, and fixes the intermittent black screens and flashing events seen when using a Samsung HMD Odyssey headset with an RX Vega series card.

Last but not least, the update also adds support for several Vulkan extension and fixes Civilization VI crashes, but might still encounter a few issues as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Regarding compatibility, there are four downloadable drivers suitable for both desktops and notebooks running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 OSes, as well as a minimal setup utility that will apply the necessary files.

Therefore, to enjoy the benefits of this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.8.1 on your computer, remove any previous version from your computer, run the package, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete update.

Finally, once finished, don’t forget to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this is not requested automatically by the wizard, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.
