AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Adrenalin Edition driver, namely the 19.6.2 build (19.20.01.07), which adds support for new Vulkan extensions and includes several fixes.

Specifically speaking, the current release fixes the Wireless VR performance drop experienced in several games (addressed to Radeon RX 400 and RX 500 series) and resolves the Crackdown3 hangs on Radeon R7 370 series GPUs.

Moreover, build 19.6.2 also removes bugs that caused Performance Metrics Overlay to fail to enable/disable, makes sure no TDR is encountered when exiting certain gaming apps, and fixes the Microsoft PIX problems when connecting a GPU using AMD XConnect Technology.

As for the Vulkan extensions, AMD’s update now supports VK_EXT_host_query_reset, VK_EXT_full_screen_exclusive, VK_AMD_display_native_hdr, VK_EXT_separate_stencil_usage, and VK_KHR_uniform_buffer_standard_layout extentions.

However, AMD’s update might still encounter certain issues with Radeon ReLive, Performance Metrics Overlay, and Radeon WattMan features, as well as with ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 and ACER Swift 3 devices (all issues are detailed in the Release Notes below).

Therefore, to enjoy the benefits of this release, save the appropriate package for your computer, remove any previous version from your computer, run the downloaded package, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete update.
