Amazon has announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at its Kindle Fire HDX 3rd Generation tablet, namely version 13.4.5.5.2, which should include general bug fixes, as well as some performance, stability, and usability improvements.

Since there is no additional changelog available at the moment, if you want to find out what the changes are exactly, you must apply the present update on your device.

To do so, first of all, check your tablet’s currently installed firmware version, and make sure the software revision powering the device isn’t either newer or matching this present release. For that, go to Menu > Settings > System Updates, and you should see the current build.

Now, if all is OK, save the appropriate downloadable .bin file specifically designed for your tablet, copy it into the device’s internal storage, and monitor the transfer to make sure no problems are encountered.

Afterwards, simply go to Menu > Settings > System Updates (path might differ from a model to another), and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation.

Still, bear in mind that interrupting this process in any way at this point will not only cause an update failure but might also lead to various device malfunctions.

Therefore, download Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 3rd Generation Firmware 13.4.5.5.2, apply the new firmware, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
