14 DAY TRIAL // Yamaha Corporation has just made available several tools and firmware package compatible with its NUAGE DAW system, which add a large number of new functions to the device.
Specifically speaking, the release consists of the Master and Fader firmware version 1.03 and the I/O firmware version 1.11 which add support for the new functions included in the TOOLS package version 1.1.0.
This last mentioned package contains support for the ADR mode, the remote operation of the AD8HR remote preamp, and for some track select, Zoom In/Zoom Out, and editing operations.
Moreover, it includes the configuring functions for the USER ASSIGNABLE section buttons, and the locking/unlocking options for “Tempo” and “Click” from the main “Transport” page, and also adds display channels on the LCD.
As for installing the release, first you must apply the unit’s firmware package, so that it adds support for the TOOLS files, and only afterwards download and install the compatible TOOLS package (depending on your system’s OS and bit-variant).
Bear in mind that you should update one unit at a time, and properly following the upgrade instructions (provided within each of the downloadable firmware archives) is a must, so that you don’t cause an update failure which can render your device unstable.
