14 DAY TRIAL // Yamaha has recently released a new firmware update for its 01V96i mixer. Build 1.02 comes in two versions, one for Windows and the other for Mac and claims to have solved the problem in which MIDI NRPN control commands could not be received.
Also fixed by this update is the issue in which it had been impossible to select SINGLE mode when transmitting and receiving signals of a high sampling rate (88.2 kHz/96 kHz) via the ADAT connector.
To update, download the Yamaha 01V96i Mixer firmware 1.02 corresponding to your OS and extract the archive to an accessible location. Before you start, back up your data in the user memories from the device.
With the unit connected to the computer and powered off, hold the “Clear” button while pressing the power button. The message “Flash update” should come on the unit’s screen and an installer windows should pop up on the computer's display.
Follow the on-screen steps and complete the installation. The 01V96i will reboot when the process is complete.
