As far as we know, the present update is likely to enhance the overvoltage and overheating protection routines which would shut down your system in case things go wrong.
Certain boards were fried recently as users attempted to overclock them, and a MOSFET went up in smoke; the F7 BIOS looks like a mandatory update even if you're not overclocking.
