It looks more and more like the Intel H77 will become highly popular among computer users as it bridges the 2nd and the 3rd Core CPU generations. And with the possibility to install both SandyBridge and IvyBridge processors on a given board, people looking to build a new computer couldn't be any happier.

The GA-H77-D3H-MVP is a nice ATX form factor motherboard packing all the "goodies" of a modern board able to comply with the rigors of new multimedia and processing power demands of today's applications.

While the CPU-integrated graphics chip can deliver 1900 x 1200 video output, installing an IvyBridge processor grants the users DirectX 11 and Pixel Shader 5.0 support; even more, when running your Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H-MVP with a 22nm CPU will allow proper use of the 1600Mhz DDR3 memory.

Speaking of memory, the GA-H77-D3H-MVP can hold up to a massive 32 GB memory array in 4 dual-channel slots for optimal performance. USB 3.0 ports are powered by Intel and Etron and will nicely complement the SATA3 6Gb/s connectors present on the GA-H77-D3H-MVP.

Fast data transfers between multiple storage solutions will also be a great help for gamers; unfortunately, the GA-H77-D3H-MVP has no support for the Nvidia fans, as it only supports CrossFireX as a multi-display solution. So if potential buyers feel they could never part with their Nvidia cards, maybe choosing the GA-H77-D3H-MVP should be reconsidered.

The GA-H77-D3H-MVP comes bundled with a heap of tweaking and overclocking or recovery utilities signed by both Gigabyte and Intel, so the OC fans will also rejoice. Download drivers, BIOS and utilities for the Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H-MVP for free, as always.
