Version 9.17.10.3165 of Intel’s Iris and HD Graphics driver, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 operating systems, is now available for download via Softpedia.

The package fixes an issue with the monitors not supporting EDID when on a 1366x768 resolution, and the Desktop Window Manager (DWM) crash error reported on systems with Switchable Graphics enabled.

Moreover, the screen doesn’t turn black when switching to Clone mode, Resident Evil 5 Benchmark corruption is resolved, and the power on the 2nd and 3rd monitors is now detected properly.

The build 3165 driver also adds new display capabilities, hardware encode support for JPEG and MJPEG format files, and improves Skin Tone Enhancement, Total Color Control, and Auto Contrast Enhancement features.

As for the supported devices, this version is compatible with some of Intel’s Pentium and Celeron processors, and with the 3rd Gen Core CPUs that have HD Graphics 2500 and 4000.

In addition to that, 4th Gen Core CPUs with HD Graphics 4200, 4400, 4600, and 5000, as well as Intel Iris Graphics 5100 and Iris Pro Graphics 5200 are also supported.
