A few moments ago, CradlePoint has just made available a new firmware version targeted at some of its routers, namely build 5.1.2 compatible with the AER2100, MBR1400V2, MBR1400, MBR1200B, IBR600, IBR650, and CBA750B devices.

The release adds a new Red/Green indicator that shows whether the router is connected to ECM, allows users to select between AUX and GPS ports when they want to obtain coordinates, and resolves the issue with the special characters in system identifier field that caused UDHCP to crash.

In addition to that, SMS access is now enabled for the IBR600 and IBR650 devices, the SSH “cat” command doesn’t skip config portions anymore, and the NHRP with dual WAN connections will now work properly even after a WAN failover.

If the present version is applied, the routers will benefit from new “arpdump” and “diff” commands that will dump the ARP table and display items that are different than the default, respectively. Also, a USB overrun phenomenon that caused the router to reboot has also been resolved by adding data throttling.

Moreover, the Network Mobility (NEMO) feature now supports failover, and the IBR600 and IBR650 units get their maximum GRE tunnels number increased from 5 to 10.

That being said, if you intend to install this firmware, download CradlePoint Router Firmware 5.1.2 for the device you own, get the latest update, and apply it on the unit. Also, constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
