The 11.6 inch E130 netbook from the ThinkPad Edge Series is getting full support for upgrading to Microsoft Windows 8. All the components in the device can be upgraded if the user wants that.

Audio, Bluetooth, Camera, Card Reader, MEI, Chipset, Graphics, Keyboard, Touchpad, LAN, WLAN, WWAN or Storage categories have each at least one driver that ensures good compatibility with Microsoft's latest operating system.

Of all these drivers, it’s the latest, Synaptics UltraNav Pointing Device driver version 16.2.17.3, which stands out.

This release fixes the problems with the left trackpoint button that was likely to malfunction during use, makes the middle button work in Windows Reader, and also resolves the impossibility of introducing the password when rebooting the system.

However, if you have an older version of the Synaptics driver and do not experience the above problems, the update is not necessary.

So, if you want to install the latest Synaptics drivers you can follow the first link; the second link will come in handy if you need a full upgrade to Microsoft Windows 8.
