TRENDnet has recently released a new firmware update for a few of its network cameras, namely TV-IP252P, TV-IP262PI, TV-IP262P, and TV-IP322P. The purpose of the new versions is to add Internet Explorer 11 on the supported browsers list.

Before you get to the firmware installation, make sure you connect the camera through an Ethernet wire and make a note of your settings. Do not save the camera's configuration file from the old firmware and restore it after the firmware upgrade.

To update, download the firmware for your camera and extract the archive to an accessible location. Next, log into your camera's configuration page (http://192.168.10.30 is the default IP address) with administrator rights (default username and password values are “admin”) and go to the “Setup” menu.

Under the “Tools” sub menu, select “Browse” in the “Upgrade Firmware” section and point out the location of the newly extracted file. The next thing to do is press the “Update” button and be patient while the installation is ongoing.

The process will take about 60 seconds and, when it completes, the web UI will display the “Upgrade successful...please wait 30 seconds for the camera to reboot.” After you've waited the additional 30 seconds, log into your camera once again and perform a factory reset from the same “Tools” sub menu mentioned above.

Get the latest firmware for TRENDnet's network cameras, install the one for your product, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
