TRENDnet has just launched a new firmware version meant to improve the functionality of its TV-IP672P, TV-IP672PI, TV-IP672W, TV-IP672WI, TV-IP572P, TV-IP572PI, TV-IP572W and TV-IP572WI wireless cameras.

Release number 1.1.1 improves Samba, FTP and SD recording performance and adds a digest access authentication to increase login security.

The update procedure is similar to all the devices mentioned above. All you need to do is to make sure the camera is connected through a wire.

In a browser window, go to the IP address of your camera (192.168.10.30 is default) and login with your credentials (admin/admin are standard values for the username and password).

When the next screen comes up (usually very close to instant), go to the “setup” page and then to the “Firmware Upgrade” section.

Browse the file from the extracted archive and update. After this setup completes, check the firmware version.

Below are the links to the new release. Download, install and stay “updated one minute ago.”
