Today, Creative unveiled firmware version 130618 developed for its Sound Blaster EVO Zx wireless Bluetooth headset, which improves the device’s connectivity and stability.

The newly released package is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit versions of all of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems, except for the XP platform.

If installed, the new firmware will improve the Bluetooth connectivity for NFC pairing, fix and intermittent problem with the headset hanging during the power-up, and resolves the LED and reboot issues that occur when performing a factory reset.

As for installing the update, simply connect the headset to a USB port (do not use a USB hub), run the downloadable file, and follow the onscreen instructions.

When the update process completes, just unplug and plug back the device so that the changes take effect.

Although it seems quite easy, it’s also very risky, so make sure the device is connected during the whole process. Don’t interrupt the connection or restart the PC while the upgrade is in progress, so as to avoid the headset encountering any problems.

That being said, follow the link below, get the executable file, and improve the performance of your Sound Blaster EVO Zx wireless headset.
