The new Sony firmware update is aimed at improving the playability of Internet videos on their Blu-Ray Players for the European market. Although Bravia Internet Video is an overall awesome experience, sometimes, it used to be slow when playing online streaming content, but this update fixes all that and gives you a smoother and more satisfying experience.

Sony has actually released two updates for their devices: the Sony BDP-S4100/S5100 Blu-ray Players will receive the M15.R.0175, while the BDP-S1100/S3100 series will get the M14.R.0175 firmware update. Both versions offer the same benefits and improvements.

If you are wondering if this update is absolutely necessary, you should know that you might not need it after all, as some devices may already have it pre-installed. The best way to know for sure is to check your device and, if the version number is lower than the one offered here, then you should download the update package and run it.

This can easily be done by using a recordable CD on which you will copy the firmware files. This is the best upgrade method if your Blu-Ray player does not have an active Internet connection. Also, please make sure that the CD is clean and does not have any scratches or dust on it.

Select the appropriate update for your device from the links below and download it, and remember to visit our website as often as possible in order to keep your devices up to date.
