Sony releases the latest firmware for their Japan-oriented PlayStation portable console dubbed Vita, and recommends that users should upgrade their software.

The 1.52 firmware version solves some issues reported by users as Sony claims, though few words on the specific problems have gotten out so far except for some 3G and SIM related issues which were reported by several users.

Sony notes that new features for the PlayStation Network will become accessible after installing the new firmware, while security has been enhanced, too.

You can install the PS Vita firmware 1.52 using the content management capabilities of your PS 3 (in case you've already installed firmware 4 series on it). The download links aren't official yet, but psvitacfw.com hosts the firmware files and it's from them you're downloading.
