Sony has just made available its 3.36 firmware update package developed for its portable PlayStation Vita console, which includes the familiar system software stability improvements during use of certain features.

If you consider applying this update on your device, you can do so via 3 methods: using any wireless network available, connecting the device to a computer or PlayStation 3 system, or through a compatible memory card on which you have priorly copied the new firmware.

To be clearer, when using a Wi-Fi network, you must go to Settings → Start → System Update → Update Using Wi-Fi, and the PS Vita will do the rest. It will automatically search for a new firmware, and when found, it will guide you through the installation steps.

When a wireless connection isn’t available, you can use the one already present on a computer or PS3 system (must be connected to a PS Vita unit). The path is quite the same, namely Settings → Start → System Update → Update by Connecting to a PS3 System (or Update by Connecting to a PC).

As for the last-mentioned update method, you must save the downloadable .PUP file onto an empty memory card, insert it into your PS Vita console while it’s turned off, power it on, and the device will automatically recognize and apply the new software version.

This being told, download Sony PlayStation Vita Firmware 3.36, carefully apply it on your console, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
