Today, Sony has released firmware version 1.50 developed for its PlayStation 4, which enables some PSNSM features, as well as other various ones on the system, and enhances security.

As Sony recommends its users to “Always update to the latest version,” get the firmware file on your computer and copy it onto a USB drive. Bear in mind that the update must be saved in the “PS4/UPDATE” path, which you have to create.

Afterwards, turn off the PS4’s power and make sure the power indicator is not lit, connect the USB storage, and press and hold the power button for at least 7 seconds so that the system enters safe mode. Now, select “Update System Software,” and that’s all.

However, the update can also be performed through an Internet connection, by going to Settings → System Software Update in the function screen, and the PS4 system automatically checks if it’s up to date.

That being said, download Firmware 1.50 for Sony PlayStation 4, make sure you follow the update steps correctly, and apply the new version to the PS4.
