Some of Intel’s NUCs Receive New Drivers Including BIOS and HD Graphics Packages

Intel has made available several new drivers suitable for its NUC5i3 and NUC5i5 series NUCs, which are compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems, while some of them are even supported by Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 platforms.

To be clear about these releases, Intel has provided driver support for its NUC5i3MYHE, NUC5i3RYH, NUC5i3RYK, NUC5i5MYHE, NUC5i5RYH, and NUC5i5RYK NUC kits, as well as for NUC5i3MYBE and NUC5i5MYBE NUC boards.

As for the downloadable packages, the producer has outed Management Engine (ME) version 10.0.31.1000, Ready Mode Utility 1.1.40.445 (only for Windows 8.1 OS), Rapid Storage driver 13.5.0.1056, as well as the 3.0.2.54 USB 3.0 package.

In addition to that, Realtek ALC Audio, Smart Connect, and HD Graphics driver version 6.0.1.7373, 5.0.10.2907, and 10.18.10.4014 beta, respectively, can also be applied on the aforementioned NUC devices.

Moreover, Intel has also developed and released a December 2014 driver bundle package for each NUC, which includes all the files required by a compatible unit in order to run properly on a specific Windows OS and bit variant.

Last but not least, even though NUC5i5MYHE and NUC5i5MYBE don’t benefit from such an update, the rest of the NUCs receive new BIOS packages: version 0017 for NUC5i3MYBE and NUC5i3MYHE units, as well as build 0130 for NUC5i5RYK, NUC5i5RYH, NUC5i3RYK, and NUC5i3RYH devices.
