The fourth day of 2012 brings, as always, our small assortment of BIOSes. Nothing groundbreaking happening yet in the industry, but things are about to change soon, with the Ivybridge technology getting closer to the official launch date.

Asrock has released drivers for a new AMD board codenamed M3N78D FX, running on Nvidia chipsets and sporting the AM3+ socket. BIOS version 1.00 is available, like the rest of the drivers, on the board's page.

As for the rest, here's the list:

Asrock M3N78D FX Bios 1.00 Asus M5A97 PRO Bios 902 HP G62-357CA Notebook BIOS F.37 for Windows 7 Acer Veriton S480G BIOS P02.A2 Acer Veriton S480G BIOS P01.B3L for Linux HP G62-358CA Notebook BIOS F.37 for Windows 7

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent BIOS version available. Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest BIOS files.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a BIOS or device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong BIOS or driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
