SiliconDust has just outed a new firmware package developed for most of its network-connected TV tuners, namely version 20140121, which includes improvements for the DHCP compatibility, channel information processing, and diagnostic logging for all targeted devices.

In addition to that, RTSP type reporting, HTTP streaming, DVB-C channel detection, and Ethernet driver enhancements, as well as PMT generation improvements, CableVision NDS workarounds, and favorite channel support for DLNA users are also included in this latest firmware release.

Moreover, the non-ASCII characters problem has been resolved, the device reboot triggered issue has been fixed, and support has been added for the BIG5 character encoding (for Taiwan cable TV) and DVB-C QAM128.

As for compatible products, SiliconDust’s release can be applied to the HDHR3-US, HDHR3-EU, HDHR3-CC, HDHR3-DT, and HDHR3-4DC TV tuners, as well as to the PRIME, HDHR-US, and HDHR-EU network-attached devices.

That being said, download SiliconDust HDHomeRun Firmware 20140121 for the proper device, apply it to the unit, and enjoy your newly updated network-attached TV tuner.
