The firmware version improves autofocus accuracy for low-brightness, low-contrast subjects

Just now, SIGMA has rolled out its latest firmware package developed for the dp2 Quattro digital camera, namely version 1.02, which improves the autofocus accuracy for subjects with low-brightness and low-contrast.

In addition to that, if the new update is applied, the camera will benefit from a new function that allows users to select whether or not the preview image on the LCD Display reflects the exposure result.

Moreover, version 1.02 includes a new parameter that compensates the saturation of red colors and also increases the detail resolution quality of a specific part. You should also know that this feature is efficient for both RAW and JPEG file formats, but the changes are noticeable only in “Neutral” color mode though.

Another aspect that I must highlight is that the new release cannot develop RAW images along with the producer’s Photo Pro version 6.0.5, therefore make sure to install SIGMA Photo Pro 6.0.6 in order to make use of all the new changes.

As for installing the update, save the downloadable .bin file on your desktop, transfer it to a compatible memory card, and insert it into the camera. Now go to Setup Menu > Firmware Update > Start Firmware Update, choose “Yes,” and wait for the new software to be applied.

With this in mind, download SIGMA dp2 Quattro Camera Firmware 1.02, apply it onto your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
