Ricoh Imaging has recently released a new firmware update for its GR digital camera. Version 3.0 comes with several additions, such as the new “Ambient Brightness” and “Folder Name Setting” features in the “Setup” menu.

To update, download Ricoh Imaging GR digital camera firmware 3.0 and extract the archive to an accessible location. From there, copy the update file to a formatted SD card. Also, make sure that the battery is fully charged.

After you've safely removed the device, insert it in the camera and press the power button on the device. Now, press the “Menu” key and go to the “Set-up” tab. Press the flash button and select “Confirm Firmware Version.”

The current version and the one that is to be installed will be displayed. Select “Yes” and wait for the setup to complete and the “Firmware update complete” message to come on the screen.

It is now safe to remove the SD card from the camera and check if the installed firmware version is 3.0.

Get the latest firmware for Ricoh Imaging's GR camera, install it, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
