A few moments ago, Ricoh, well known for its imaging products, has just announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at its GR digital camera, namely version 4.00.

This newly-released update includes several fresh features that improve the device’s overall usability, such as “AF Mode” in setup menu with two selectable options (Normal and High Speed), and “Shift Crop” on the effect section of the shooting menu.

In addition to that, “Card Sequence No.” and “Playback Animation” have also been included in the setup menu. These features can be configured using the two available options (On/Off).

Moreover, through this firmware, owners will benefit from 3 new delete-related options when trying to remove an image taken with RAW+ in playback mode. Specifically speaking, “Delete RAW+ JPEG,” “Delete JPEG only,” and “Delete RAW only” will replace the “Delete One” option.

When it comes to improvements, besides the revised usability level, Ricoh has also enhanced the operational performance for the “Aperture Preview” feature, as well as the stability of USB connections with Mac OS systems.

Therefore, if you intend to apply this release, simply get and expand the downloadable archive, copy the “rg1_v004.frm” onto a formatted SD card, and insert it into the camera (make sure the device is powered off).

Now, turn on the camera, go to the “Confirm Firmware Version” section in the setup menu, and follow the displayed instructions for a complete and successful installation.

That being said, download Ricoh GR Camera Firmware 4.00, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the latest version, and constantly check with our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
